Congratulations to our newest Metropolitan Peace Academy graduates!

In a virtual program with past graduates, supporters, and staff from Metropolitan Peace Initiatives and our Communities Partnering 4 Peace partner organizations, together we recognized Cohort Seven of outreach workers, Cohort Two of case managers, and Cohort One of our external cohort.

We Care About You’ Block Club Chicago In the wake of shootings in Chicago, outreach workers - including those from Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) partner TargetArea in Englewood, featured in this story - provide support to residents and families.  * Gun violence prevention rally calls for collaboration Chicago Sun-Times  CP4P, alongside fellow violence prevention organizations Chicago CRED and READI Chicago, recently announced a new collaboration in North Lawndale to train violence intervention ambassadors and offer additional community support.

 

 

Young leaders at our Calumet Center are turning their ideas into action and making an impact on childhood hunger! Thanks to a Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation Youth Grant, the youth in our Altgeld Teen Leadership program distributed backpacks filled with food to 50 households in Chicago's Altgeld Gardens community as part of the Blessings in a Backpack project.
